A & W Community Solutions

Advocacy & Work (A & W) Community Solutions was founded in 2001 by Arnett Woodall. Mr. Woodall’s success as a Community Activist and CEO of A & W Community Solutions, later founded West Phillie Produce in 2009 to provide employment to young adults between the ages of 16-24 and supply healthy resources for the general public. He was trained at Thaddeus Stevenson College for Technology and Automotive Engineering, becoming a licensed contractor. A & W has a list of achievable goals and objectives to tackle including improving economic development, providing community resources and street cleaning, and implementing public safety zones with the creation of sustainable greenspaces. The organization serves as the mantle and guidepost for continued partnerships with social service agencies, faith based institutions, commercial operators, educational organizations, and aspire entrepreneurship. He has earned acknowledgements by featuring in Good Morning America, the Philadelphia Daily News, Inquirer, NBC, ABC, just to name a few. During his 15-year career as a Youth Worker and Program Facilitator in Glen Mills, his focal point was, and is to be the social change agent in many youth’s lives by advocating for the youth and providing employment. He has countless recognition as PECO’s Black History Spokesman of the year, Martin Luther King Award in community activism from University of Pennsylvania, and Jubilee’s School of Humanitarian of the Year in 2017. Although he is very proud of the few accomplishments listed above, he expects his students, employees, and community to be just as great as business persons and community organizers for the future in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
